His Excellency the Right Honourable David Johnston, Governor General of Canada, has declared 2015 as the “Year of Sport” in Canada.
The declaration celebrates the role sport plays in our Canadian identity. From our local playgrounds, to recreational sport leagues all the way to our inspiring high performance athletes, sport is vital to the cultural fabric of our nation.
Throughout 2015, we encourage all members to celebrate sport at the Richmond Olympic Oval.
Life is good when summer involves time away at camp.
It’s an escape from the everyday routine. It gives children of all ages — from kindergartners to rising college freshmen — an opportunity to get out of their comfort zone. They can explore nature, try new activities, make new friends (or reconnect with old ones), and learn more about themselves.
There are dozens of camps at Richmond Oval, and each is unique.
But it’s only February, you say. Isn’t that too early to think about camp? Not at all. Some camps start registering as early as October for the following summer. Book early to get the week you want.
With the links below, you’ll find residential camp opportunities for boys, girls and both. Plus, there’s a section for special needs camps of all kinds.
Well before summer hits, you may need a place for your child to spend his or her days during spring break. Find opportunities for those camps below as well.
